Delicate and feminine, yet bold with strong architectural lines, the "Sweet Pea" Necklace displays an unexpected use of Oregon Sunstone.
Three spectacular emerald cut Oregon Sunstones are carefully prong set, side by side, in an ombre fashion. Their saturation of color shifts, depending on the light they are bathed in. The lead photo shows them in their most saturated hues; in other lights, they show their softer, more delicate tones. Between them, they reflect notes of pink, peach, peony, champagne and more.
At the brightest end of the Sunstones, stacks a column of tiny, but vibrant pave set diamonds. A subtle, but noticeable detail. The kind of element that elevates a piece and how you feel when you wear it; you just feel special.
For those interested in the history of a piece, I can share that I purchased these stones directly from the owners of the mine, while at the Tucson Gem Show. I spent over 2 hours, trying to find the perfect three stones for this piece, trying to find the best possible match for color, clarity and size; not an easy feat. This piece was a true labor of love, and a one of a kind. But I love the end result, and I hope you do too.
