HOW DO I KNOW WHAT RING SIZE TO ORDER?
-The best way to feel confident about your ring size is to stop by a local jewelry store and ask them to size you. A professional jeweler will do this for free, and with a smile. You will want to have them size the finger you plan to wear the ring on and tell them how thick the band is so they can use the right sizers. We can make any quarter size you need.
CAN YOU MAKE INTERNATIONAL RING SIZES?
-There are often slight variations between conversion charts from one international size to another. For that reason, we do ask that you provide us with your US Ring size when placing your order. We want to create a piece that fits you perfectly upon arrival.
I DON’T SEE MY SIZE. CAN YOU MAKE IT?
-We almost certainly can. Shoot us an email at hello@NIXINjewelry.com and let us know what you’re looking for. If it’s a larger size or a thicker band, there may be an upcharge for the increase in gold, but it can almost always be done.
WILL I RECEIVE THE EXACT PIECE SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS?
-Aside from our one of a kind items, our pieces are made to order, thus, your piece will not be the exact one shown in the photo. Since our gems are natural, and our pieces lovingly handmade, there will be some variability from piece to piece. This is what makes each piece unique. We strive to select the most beautiful stones available to recreate the same style of piece as is represented in our images.
ARE THE IMAGES ON YOUR SITE TO SCALE?
-No, the images are not to scale. We include enlarged photos to help show you the fine details of the jewelry. We also include additional shots that show the pieces at other angles, and whenever possible, include a shot to show relative size either on a model or against a hand. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE UNTIL MY ORDER ARRIVES?
-Fabrication is quoted as 4-6 weeks and then product ships. Although we do kindly ask for this full window, we always do our best to produce as quickly as possible and often deliver in a fraction of this time. We ship our pieces out as soon as they are done to get them to you as quickly as we can. Your kindness and understanding is so greatly appreciated as we create your handmade goods.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SATIN AND POLISH FINISH?
-Satin is a matte finish; imagine taking a brillo pad and brushing it over the surface of the gold. Polish is a smooth, shiny finish.
-Fine jewelry is delicate; that’s part of what makes it so beautiful. Like all delicate things, it needs to be treated with care. There are a number of things you can do, and avoid doing, to help keep your delicate pieces in their very best shape.
We always recommend removing your jewelry at times it might be exposed to water or chemicals (ie: when showering, swimming, cleaning with household chemicals, washing your hands, applying lotions or perfumes) or when doing any type of rigorous activity (ie: the gym) where the pieces are susceptible to getting bumped or caught on something. It’s even wise to remove them while sleeping.
When ordering cuff rings, please order in the size you need. These rings are not created as “adjustable” pieces. Bending them open and closed will put your pieces at risk.
Different stone types can tolerate different types of cleaning. Don’t ever hesitate to send us an email to ask about your specific piece and how to most appropriately clean it; we’re happy to help. There are many soft and porous stones, such as opals, turquoise and pearls, that require much gentler care than the standard diamond. We do not recommend using ultrasonic cleaners or chemical cleaning agents as they may damage some of our pieces.
We always recommend storing delicate jewelry carefully so that it is protected from damage. Storage in a hard jewelry box is ideal. Putting each item in its own ziplock bag, within the box, helps protect the surfaces from scratching one another.
Should you find yourself in love with a delicate piece but desiring a more durable version, just ask if it’s possible. Often, we can create a thicker band or replace a very soft gemstone with a more durable one. Please keep in mind however that all fine jewelry is delicate and NIXIN is not responsible for lost or broken gemstones or pieces. We want you to be able to enjoy your goods, and are happy to help you with repairs at a reasonable repair rate, should you ever need assistance.
WILL I BE CHARGED TAX?
-We are compliant with current tax regulations. For domestic orders, if applicable, taxes will automatically be calculated at checkout.
-International orders are subject to customs related fees (ie: duties/vat/taxes) per receiving country's policies. These fees are determined by each individual country, and are the responsibility of the client.
